• Client Intro

As our first holiday let project in the UK this project will always hold a special place in our hearts. The client runs a number of hospitality businesses in the area and this old family home of his was to be converted into a luxury holiday let.

• Scope/Client Brief

We needed to literally rip out everything. Nothing stayed – gone was the old kitchen, and nasty shower room as super-dated finishes! Once we could see what we were working with we agreed with the client’s vision of this being the absolute perfect guest home – with careful planning we could turn an old outdoor space into a patio and wok enough sleeping space into fit eight people.

• Challenges

Untouched since the sixties, this past childhood home of the owner resembled a ski chalet or a sauna with nasty wood paneling throughout, a completely outdated kitchen, and a disastrous family bathroom. Everything had to go!

• Interior Design Solution

This bright and welcoming seaside duplex has won everyone’s hearts over, including the judges at the International Property Awards! We created a beautiful, soft, coastal theme to deliberately stay away from clichéd beach schemes, and the result is a gorgeous, stylish, and welcoming apartment. There are plenty of features that make you smile, like the feature wallpaper in the kitchen and the pebble tiles in the jacuzzi-equipped bathroom. The bedrooms are spacious and airy, and a new sunset spot welcomes you for an afternoon drink outside, where a new enclosed balcony area was created.
