Our Design Process

Working with you from consultation to completion, we undertake end-to-end project management for our clients. The investment for a full-service interior design project includes a flat design fee, based on the size and type of rooms, plus a furnishing budget. Our designers proudly follow the industry best-practice processes as set by the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).

Discovery Call

Our services always start with a discovery call to discuss your design needs and ideas. Our discovery call is completely free and usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. You can schedule a consultation call with our designers using the link below..

Strategic Definition

Next, the start-up phase culminates with a kick-off meeting to discuss your requirements. After establishing the scope of the work and budget required, our team will always obtain your approval before proceeding with the design work.

Preparation and Briefing

When you are ready to process, we will visit the site and carry out an initial appraisal. We will arrange surveys which may be required and start the development of the Project Programme. This includes establishing the Project Cost with you and assist you in developing the initial Project Brief. We will prepare and discuss feasibility costs for the Project, advise on other appointments required to carry out the Project, team responsibilities, points of contact, and communication channels.

Concept Design

Ready, Set, Design! This is where the fun really begins, as we prepare the concept design for discussion, presenting all indicative Concept imagery along with preliminary layout designs. Working with your other appointments, we now review and update the Project Programme and provide you with updated Project Cost information always ensuring the works remain viable.

Spatial Coordination

Understanding the Devil is in the detail, we will start building upon the concept by refining the final details of your project. Our team will prepare full-colour presentation materials to illustrate the schematic design and our interior architecture proposal. The overall design Is finalised and converted into realistic 3D drawings to help you visualise the scheme. We will make any revisions required until the client is completely happy with their design.

Technical Design

For larger projects, we will advise clients of appropriate planning and other conditions. We prepare technical designs, including production information drawings in sufficient detail to enable tenders to be obtained. We also update costs and scheduling and advise you on applying for planning permission, Building Regulations approval, and other consents.
What’s more, we will advise on potential contractors to be invited to tender. We always issue the tender pack for approval before inviting, appraising, and reporting on tenders. This pack includes all design details and layouts in CAD format, including.
  • Wall Designs and Details
  • Floor Designs and Details
  • Ceiling Designs and Details
  • General Lighting Layouts
  • Joinery Designs and Details
  • General Supporting Details

Manufacturing and Construction

Includes Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment
We now provide design information for your other appointments to help them carry out their services. If you wish, we can organise, chair, and record meetings, and carry out visual site inspections to ensure general compliance. This includes reviewing the progress of the construction works and cost against the plan.
From a design perspective, this enables us to develop the design drawings and interior specifications and prepare specific equipment and furniture layouts. This includes:
